If you are looking for a line of dress shoes that looks stylish but will give you top quality support, traction and motion control, check out Etonic's collection of Soft-Tech shoes.

The shoe SFT20-1 comes in Black/Black, White/Black and White/White. It may look like your standard leather dress shoe on top, but flip the SFT20-1 over and you will see an army of colorful "spikes". This is what Etonic coins the PowerPlay outsole system. Six spikes beneath the ball of your foot and three beneath your heel help you to comfortably grip the floor and keep your balance. This in turn contributes to the long-term protection of your ankles, knees and hips.

The inside of the SFT20-1 is not too shabby either! The lining is described as "butter-soft" - a particularly attractive description for people who suffer from bunions, calluses, blisters, corns, hammertoe or claw toe. Or for people who need to proactively protect their feet from minor injuries in deformities (i.e., this is a great feature for diabetics). The insole is removable, which will either allow you to adjust the size of your shoe to accommodate foot swelling, or to insert your own customized orthopedic insoles. The fabric of the liner (Suede-Tech Microfibre) is designed to keep feet dry (and thereby infection free) by wicking moisture away from the foot.

The upper is made of full-grain leather, as you would expect. But! The leather is waterproof - a very important feature in the quest to keep your feet dry and infection-free. (And the waterproofing is covered by a two year warranty).

If you want a different style of dress shoe, check out Etonic's "Dry Essential" (DES40-14). This shoe has many of the same quality features as Etonic's standard dress shoe (SFT20-1) but it comes in a wider selection of stylish colors. How does Mocha/Dark Brown sound? Or Black/Burgundy? (If you are not feeling quite so adventurous, you can order this shoe in Black/Black and White/Black.) The Dry Essential shoe has slightly fewer spikes on the outsole (five instead of six) but the same butter-soft insole, microfiber lining and waterproof premium leather uppers.
